Google eBooks Device to Debut in eReaders Market Next Week at Target

Google eBooks Device to Debut in eReaders Market Next Week at Target - eReaders and Tablets seems to be the order of the day for the modern electronic manufacturers, and after Apple and Amazon, one another major name entering the Tablet is of search engine giant Google. It’s learned that internet major Google will be debuting into the eReader market next week, when the very first such device will enter the market. The device will run on Google eBooks platform and will be offered on sale at Target.

The iriver Story HD will be having a price tag of $139.99, which is the same price as of the Nook Simple Touch Reader and the Kindle. According to a post from Google, the eReader will go on sale on July 17. The new eReader from Google will be having a black-and-grey screen just like the one that we’ve seen in Kindle, and will be having a QWERTY keyboard. The eReader will have access to more than 3 million free eBooks from Google and several other paid eBooks in the system. This device will be the very first device, which will allow the users to download the eBook titles using a Wi-Fi connection, before this user had to download titles using a PC and then had to transfer them to the eReader.

It should be known that Google ventured into the eBook market in solemn in December with their eBookstore. Since then, Google has been constantly expanding statistical distribution for the format, as of this May, Google already has added their 250th independent bookstore associate.
